Garlic as Hypertension Medicine

The efficacy of garlic in preventing various diseases has long been a concern to scientists. Garlic knows can function as anticancer, other function also can be able to cope with hypertensions.


This function recommend by doctor in Austria that garlic to medical drug for patient with hypertension. They have tried this experiments to 50 patients with hypertension to consume garlic supplements, but still keep take the medicine.

The patients who received four capsules of garlic extract per day have lower blood pressure compared with patients receiving placebo pills (pills with no active ingredient).

On the previous research has shown that garlic extract is effectively to lower cholesterol and high blood pressure or hypertension patients. "Garlic supplements have long been associated with decreased levels of blood pressure. In this study we tried to see the benefits of garlic extract as an adjunctive therapy in addition to hypertension drugs from doctors," Karin Ried said, garlic researchers.
