Community should be socialized of using generic medicine, because of many assumption of better license medicine than generic medicine. They should care of generic medicine and should know that the quality of generic medicine in not bad.
Slamet of IDI said that ID should make a letter to the government, all the medicine should be labeled by generic medicine. License medicine seems as good medicine, as they are also generic medicine that the patented already finished. They use this patent to make license medicine. After generic medicine become license medicine the price will increase about 20 to 30 percent or even folded. This condition make heavier for the patient, because they don’t know the formula of that medicine.
IDI (Indonesian Doctor Association) have advice to all members that on make a receipe should give a generic medicine. Beside advice of make generic medicine receipe, ID also banned for doctor for not make a contract with Pharmacy Company.
Generic medicine also should be exist in all aphotek in order easily find by patients. Usually aphotec only provide generic medicine for about 20 percent only, government ask to provide generic medicine should available on aphotec about 50 percent.
